They are just as bad as the CGI Thomas episodes and just as non-classic.
And you need them for mounts later on

I don't get the obsession with low polygon counts. I kind of like Luclin models. However if they're not your thing you can avoid using them and still use mounts if you have an AoN or are a Necro. Skele form can mount with old models on.
