I'm pro-whistleblower, but Snowden did cross some line so should receive some slap on the wrist for punishment, just to save face for the law. Even as far as crossing the line, it was probably the wise choice to flee, these people are really bad... imo downright evil.

Right, you absolutely cannot look at the history of this country (and recent events) and believe you will get "fair treatment" as a whistle-blower in this political climate. State Department contractors are rampant all throughout the domestic United States.

We confirmed State Dept contractors were deployed to Oregon during the standoff. What other activities are they engaged in, we have no idea. As JFK said himself, there was too much secrecy in 1961 and that has only gotten worse with additional black budgets, no congressional oversight, and contractors getting billions in State Dept contracts. These are the same clandestine enforcers that most likely rigged Hastings car.

Anyone saying him leaving the country is indicative of anything but ensuring his well-being and just treatment is out of their mind.
