Well yeah, in general, even if Donald drops some punishment, it won't be anywhere as severe as this administration wants for him (from the crap I've heard them say). If he gets in, I'm pretty confident Snowden will come back with at the most something that doesn't exceed four years of punishment (i.e. probation etc.).
I'm pro-whistleblower, but Snowden did cross some line so should receive some slap on the wrist for punishment, just to save face for the law. Even as far as crossing the line, it was probably the wise choice to flee, these people are really bad... imo downright evil.
This is a failure of this administration and the voters that elected them for the most part. Grr Bush too (I didn't vote for him). They spend more time and money investigation
