But enabling angry miserable people to freely have access to AR-15 assualt rifles with 1,000 bullets for "home defence" is just plain dumb.
Australia had a 35 person massacre 20 odd years ago and they changed the laws pronto where no-one could legally own semi or automatic rifles and crushed them all.
It literally makes frontline news here whenever someone gets shot.

Calling it an assault rifle doesn't make it one. AR-15 rifles are semi-automatic and fire no differently than a 6 shooter revolver in terms of 1 trigger pull = 1 shot fired. An assault rifle is a fully automatic machine gun, which is illegal already if you don't have permission from the gov to have it. Calling it an assault rifle does make your argument to ban them seem to have more legitimacy to fragile hearts and feeble minds however. You should get a clue.
