My sister said that euthanasia is wrong in her university class for Animal Science.(she was merely arguing in a set debate setting, as often occurs for intellectual discussion. anyone who attended a legit college knows what I am talking about, healthy discussion and debate is part of "the game" so to speak)

The entire class pounced on her and said "gays are also unnatural, are you saying they shouldn't be allowed to marry either"?

The entire class cheered the gay comment, and jeered my sister. My sister's friend who is also conservative leaned over and said "I don't know why they brought gays into this". Both of them were completely hurt and befuddled, and the intellectual discussion was stifled entirely over the incident.
