thats the stretch i'm not getting because the military's another huge commitment like school is, but hey if he's trying to get into a field that military skills apply to it's not a horrible idea or anything.
but ya if you join the military just to get your school paid for yer dumb, like anyone with a pulse can get a free college degree with federal grants and scholarships especially if you can claim independence from your parents and make yourself look poor on paper. maybe a little harder if you're white+male but still doable.
