They merged in a whole guild of people who hated / were hated by Empire. Strangely enough, Empire didn't take that well and TMO upgraded themselves from amusing novelty to full on KoS with that merger.

Ahh, I forgot that part. I think they would have found a reason to grief TMO anyway, though. Has there ever been a number two guild that hasn't been locked down by the top guild?
