Problem with this proverb is that sometimes the truth is entirely opposed to the other side of the story.

I have had to bring criminal charges against urban college gangsters and they were just "white" enough to concoct a "plausible" motive for the felony they committed.

The investigators fell for it, applied the truth in the middle thing, criminal charges stuck but the judge sympathized with the urban college gangsters a little bit and downgraded the charges sparing their lives being ruined with an A1 felony.

I'd never be so stupid as to repeat that childish "truth in the middle" bullshit again, as life experience has taught me differently. I'm wiser and smarter now.
