Instead of responding to his concerns with "But you really need warriors," wouldn't it be better to address his distrust of you and try to reassure him of your motivations? I don't really know why you two smart people wouldn't be buds.

I've played on this server for 4 1/2 years. I can safely say there is not a single person I would trust more and who I consider to be a more honest goblin town player and Dr. in advanced elven socio-political theory than Nirgon. The thought that he is not trustworthy is absolutely laughable, particularly when you're guilded with Sektor, Ragnaros, Vaporize, Tune, Strydur, etc., all people who have been banned or suspended multiple times.
