Hey guys,
I just started on red server after a long EQ hiatus since playing on guildwars. Used to play on rallos zek back in the day and seeing some old videos and posts online got me itching to delve back into the game that gave me so many fond memories.
Just wanted to stop and say hi and get a feel for the server from the community and all its veterans.
Im thinking of rolling a necro or a class that can solo, as my first toon. Since I figure it will be near impossible to get a group reliably and progress as a melee class. Also, what are the main guilds here and are there any that are looking to recruit new players? |
With the exp bonus then most people just make full groups with bots or guild mates and bard kite to 50 fast... most groups between levels 20-45 won't last more than two weeks...
However I've consistently gotten groups and have leveled well over 20 dudes to 50, always grouping after about lv 20+ and always starting with nothing, being anonymous, and claiming to be a new player.. If you watch people your will see that there are usually a group of 10 or so people around your level but they won't always group up, but some times you can see people re grouping every day just as pick up groups ( most likely getting home from work around same time )...
If you don't enjoy ever quest then don't play.
Don't worry about other people too much... just make it your quest and don't cuck for pixels.
