The great thing about MOBA's is you can squeeze quick games in here and there. I think one of the reasons there more popular than MMOs is because you can be good at them without sacrificing most your life to the venture. "Good" =/= "Top League" however.
Fortunately for most people, they have a self-esteem building ranking system that lies to you about how good you are. I remember I
finally got to gold with a lot of practice (and I mean I belonged there, didn't just get a lucky win streak). That was like 10% of the population at the time. Now gold is like copper used to be and the new gold is "Diamond IV" or whatever the fuck.
But I guess that's what the people want.
