That would be huge if it were an auditory hallucination, would confirm electronics could read our minds and even make audible recordings

Modification? Yeah possibly. Certainly a reaction to something. It's definitely the sound of a result, a moving sound, with a resonance. Mechanical, mass, electromagnetic spectrum, like two forces interacting and in conflict. Happens in clouds, clear skies, rain, shine, day, night, various world locations, and all recent. A genuine mystery too elaborate to be a hoax. Yet seems technological in nature, especially as it's a sudden new phenomenon.
