yes its correct logic. we could have Bank One where 5000 people have kept their savings for years. Bank One has a 10% interest cost on loans and 1% interest gain on savings.

Then along comes Bank Two with 10 people who just joined. Bank Two has only a 5% interest cost on loans and has a 1.5% interest gain on savings.

Logically, Bank Two has a better plan for members. But the people all have a mass predetermined opinion they like Bank One because they have been using it. They would feel ostracized if they leave their group. They do not want to go through the paperwork to change Banks because they just can't be arsed.

Point of the analogy isn't to say red is better, but people do not want to change their comfy bank they have become accustomed to.
