I find it hilarious how the United States immigration problem has turned into "racism". Sure there are a lot of hicks in the south that just hate Mexicans, but when that many people are immigrating illegally, it becomes a serious economic problem. Illegal immigration in any country will always be an economic problem. Look at all the Europeans bitching about Syrians.
I think its an argument between two parties who have literally no idea what the other one is arguing about.

Like this for example:

"We need to be more stringent on illegal immigration"

translation in the mind of a triggered liberal:

"Dirty Mexicans rape and kill and Id have a job if it weren't for them, not for my debilitating alcoholism and addiction to pudding snacks. Also Blacks are more prone to violence"

Or, the other way around:

"We need to be less concerned with immigration as it isnt really the root of our problems, large scale exploitation of that work force is bad but there are way worse and more important issues causing economic strife here in the US."

Translation to the crybaby conservative:

"I think lesbians and gays should marry your children and YOU owe them money and YOU are a racist prick and YOU are a piece of shit and YOU personally are at fault for everything."
