Been playing around with specs for various classes. Do you have any sources for ideal spec? Group set-up? etc.?
It depends on the class, there's really no right or wrong here, the further you spec into a single line the stronger all the spells it provides you with become. However, certain classes benefit more by spreading out into 2 or 3 spec lines at the same time.

Is there ever a realm unbalance, and how does that factor into things if so?
There's no way to tell before playing the server, they did a complete wipe so everyone will be starting from lvl 1 with no money or gear.

I thought about going to Midgard too at first, but every time I did so on this server in the past, it never turned out satisfactory in the fun department (in the end-game.) It was mostly Germans doing their own thing, and having to rely on PUGs which would rage quit after just 1 wipe in PvP, but who knows, maybe things will be different this time around. It has been a long time since and the server is way more popular now than it was 4 years ago.

I'm not trying to sway you from playing another Realm, just thought you may want to know what to expect so you're not too disappointed like I was when you get to 50.
