I guarantee if these issues are not dealt with or looked into then it will slowly kill the current servers that so much of us love. Results are easy to see , it is as simple as a 2+2 when you know how this shit works. Servers dying are inevitable , but I feel the speed will pick up if this stuff is left unchecked.
Since having a variance of 16 hours (non classic) I've seen a lot of people leave due to burnout and yet new ones come.
BUT ( You only have a limited amount of these players , before you run out)
It sucks and is very likely that in the future this will be looked at as a main culprit in "killing the server" and honestly this high variance probably kills real people in real life. (change it , it is unhealthy , it is unclassic) .

do the math sometime man. those low levels out there aren't all raider alts. it's not like crushbone or mistmoore empties whenever mobs are in window.
back on live during this era, most people never saw VP or NToV. it didn't kill eq.
