i think i think german brown trout (need to see it's side). Can't be bass, lower lip would be further out on the hook (they have nasty under bite). I usually hunt rainbow (my all time fav fish, like unicorns!), but in high elevation stocked lakes/streams (ode to fly fishing) they dump those browns mostly, easier to breed I thiiink.
Less of an issue on radiation, it's breeder diseases more the issue there with lakes; when they overpopulate fish hatcheries as seems to happen sometimes. lol I banged a fish dump truck one time with a heavy weighted line, it was a loud wtf moment on the whole lake, and the park feds swarmed me, well two of 'em. I use to hunt sea bass, but yeah not for years now. Well sea bass, shark and lobs. I've only gone to the coast once since the meltdown (I'm south of LA now which isn't too bad), and just a late nigh haulass down pacific coast highway (PCH) on my motorcycle.
With any fish, just don't eat anything too old. Like a local lake I don't go to (meh mostly mackerel and cat - desert lake), they started posting warnings about old fish. They may be smart, but not so healthy after a couple years. I pulled a 30lbs cat once, tossed it back hehe.
