The fact that every one of those unelectable turdstains you mentioned (while failing to mention King of the Turds Ted Cruz) is a Republican is no coincidence. The party as a whole is completely out of touch with the modern social clime and is trying to drag the rest of the country kicking and screaming back into the 1950's. Their golden days, when a woman's place was the kitchen, segregation still existed, and "them queers" were seen as predatory deviants one and all. All while they loudly and publicly trumpet how much they love Jesus and Christian values. Pretty much. It's amazing that the Dems are running two fossils, one that's corrupt as hell - and either of them are highly likely to kick the crap out of the Republican nominee in the fall.
A fiscally conservative, socially moderate Republican Party would be hugely attractive to independents and maybe even moderate Dems. But the R's are still trying to figure out how to corral their very loud minority.
