There's definitely a psychological connection between gnome players and assholery.
Example: There's this gnome mage in Europa, who bends over backwards every raid to form the best XP group he can (2-3 rogues, a monk, etc). Also gets mad when you tell him (as a necro) that you're not twitching him and that mana is for clerics/enchanters to keep the raid ticking.

Rogue groups were always good for drama. One time in sky people were bitching about my group KSing every kill, so Chest freaks out and breaks our group up. A few kills later people find out there's another group KSing everything. Think that's the day BDA's "There's no exp on raids" policy started. We rogues would solemnly remind ourselves of that as we PLed ourselves to 60 every hate / fear / sky clear thereafter.
