no, everyone pretty much knows where there is gonna be pvp already. in the zones where the loot is, you don't need yellow text to tell you that. pvp happens in oot, lodi windows, pvp happens at druid rings, pvp happens at loot camps and leveling zones.

your argument works agains you because you can't have a covert ganking squad at druid portals either because yellow text lets people know not to port there, lets people know when it's a good time to go to mistmoore to level (lots of yellow text in mistmoore? don't go to mistmoore) you are fooling yourself if you think everyone on this server is constantly searching for pvp. yes lots of people enjoy it, but lots also do not, plenty of people on live enjoyed playing on a pvp server without being a pker.

if you need yellow text to tell you if your "friend" died rather than your friend telling you then they probably are not your friends. it's not necessary at all, and even if i conceded the point that it shows where pvp is happening then my point still stands, and everyone knows its true that people plug incessantly to avoid being yellow texted. it's like the walk of shame.

your conclusion doesn't follow from your premise, i don't see how removing yellow text would make red a "ghost town" anymore than it already is. if you aren't excessively stupid you can find pvp, if I'm spoiling for a fight i can gate to oot, or go look for the guy camping swarm mother. or wait at the commons rings, or any number of places that you know from experience that people inhabit. yellow text hurts pvp just as much as it helps.
