I'll say it again, I'll never get the chance to vote for him or for him on a ticket, he's already washed out, it's a moot point. Even Pok3$ gets it, he is hated, just hated by the GOP, way more than they hate Donald. The RNC is endorsing him simply because they want a brokered convention to snatch it away from the both of them. They hate Donald less, but if they endorsed Donald, there may not be a brokered convention, and no final victory of the RNC. It's so easy a caveman can understand it.

Now if Donald gets to a brokered convention but with still a good lead going in, it'll be dirty. But if they can strip enough votes away before then, get it more evened-up, or even threaten to take Ted over the top by the manipulation effort, they can introduce their actual preferred candidate with less protest.

These guys are losers, literally, and are willing to lose again if need be. These are the same guys everyone voted in to do a job, which they didn't even try to do but actually helped the democrats. This is about trying to get what they want with the least amount of collateral damage. It's really that simple.
I don't think you know the GOP that well. If it goes to the convention it will be Cruz as long as Donald is more the 100 delegates away from 1237. The GOP is in self preservation mode, if they screw Cruz millons of conservatives create a new party, that's the GOP base voter. They can afford to lose the Trump fly by night voters and still save the party. Trump voters they have no core beliefs just anger an irrational reactions. The Establishment may hate Cruz but they have conceded to him and the Tea Party.
