Mine is a dark elf.
- Actually with a circlet of shadow you can bank in most places around the walls and invis in/out easily. Also you can bank/trade in Grobb/Oggok so "1 friendly city" isn't so accurate. L2evil.
- Most SKs don't use 2h weps unless soloing so slam isn't too relevant.
- Neriak is a fine starting city, and more accessible than Grobb/Oggok/Cabilis/Paineel.
Sure the downside is you're not starting with 130-150 stamina, but there's plenty of stamina/HP things out there so the gap can be closed somewhat.
Also the downer of playing a troll/ogre is you're going to get stuck going through some places...try pulling CE in Mistmoore as one, or going through tighter dungeons.

No not the city, the city is one of the best. Just the starting zone, Nektulos, it's by far the worst starting zone ...unless you plan to take up tailoring and early. The only things that the zone has going for it is it has guards to kill, has porting, and next to EC.
Oh grobb/oggok, yeah probably. I've never taken my DE SK there, just passed though adjacent zones. Well hated by most, but at least a few cities are open for business.
Really meant it though, FTW! I'm not one of those peeps that look for the easiest ways to play the hardest games. I still even like my pathetic ranger, even though I'm still too burnt out rangering on early live to bother taking my ranger to level cap here. Didn't even roll one on at all on PEQ the years I played there. I might on green. Now, if we had the ability to roll a dark elf ranger here, I'd be on it.
Anyway, as far as the needed starting gear, it's mainly some STR. Not even really for damage, just so you can get around unencumbered, especially with less cities to bank at. By the time you add plate, ugh especially if starting with bronze, you wind up at the point of going encumbered. That's fine, you likely still will, but with more room to loot before you wind up crawling to a bank.
