The OP wasn't making a comparison just stating a fact that the two are not mutually exclusive. Being a gamer is not exclusive of the female gender or the unemployed stereotype. Lot's of people are gamers from all walks of real life.

Ok then I misread what I quoted from Maerilith above if that is the case. I don't see anyone stating that women haven't accomplished a lot in society and history. Nor is anyone saying that only men play online games though that was a joke from another time back in the early years of Everquest and World of Warcraft.
