It she fails to capture 51% of the vote, then the president is elected by the House of Representstives.
I don't think he'd go 3rd party at this point. I've heard no one suggest he would, not any of the sources I monitor anyway, which often have decent projection records.

By the time this could happen, 3rd parties will already have their candidates picked since the rep civil war will easily last to July me thinks.

He would need to go full independent, and in such turmoil of a bleeding GOP and a possible Libertarian runner suddenly looking good to masses of disillusioned voters. Not that a Libertarian could win in that scenario, but I don't think Donald either, nor GOP, just too much of a split all together. He'd also need ballot access somehow, other than write-ins.

But I think that is only a possibility out of a Rubio scenario. I really think most of the party would unite under Cruz (as he is the apparent 2nd runner), and GOP doesn't hate him that much, far less than Donald, anyway.

But like I said, wild card, anything is possible there... well apart from a pretty damaged GOP if they strong arm TRUMP out. Even Hannity is saying it's a really bad GOP tactic going on atm. I think that if somehow they elevate Rubio to a win, there will likely be pretty heavy handed politicking involved, and from this going the way it is right now, that can't be a good outcome; seems to keep backfiring while only getting more childish.

Oh, as for a House vote... I don't know, likely 4 more years of 0bama if they vote.
hah j/k
