When you are so daft as to actually believe Trump is intelligent (no slouch as the author put it), an intellect like Cruz's must be overwhelming.

The fear is unwarranted though. The man has zero chance of becoming president.

This. Cruz is a well-equipped animal who has concluded through mountains of academic research that conservatism is best for this country.

His ideas relatively new to the presidential candidate platform (past several decades, as far as maybe 100 years, maybe 200 years) as far as delivering on constitutional conservatism.

Most of what he stands for is unheard of.

We live in a cuckservative post-modern era. Cruz is a relic from 1790 to 1820, when the Federalist party and the Democratic-Republican Party were having these arguments.
