Just ordered our new server today. We were still $1500 short, so I'm making the difference up with my own money, as once things are set up and we're only paying the monthly data center fee, I'm hoping I can make most of that back over time.

Also, not to mention, Project 1999 runs on more than one server... In fact we are up to three servers. Additionally I run other things such as the main EQEmulator project and help host other servers, those costs mostly come out of my pocket (The main eqemulator project gets barely one donation a month, and PEQ has contributed
nothing to their hosting costs). The first server to run that stuff, including the first several months of P99, cost me over $2000.
That money came from my paychecks at work, and the work I do here is considered a hobby (oh boy, guide pun incoming)... donations cover what they can, when they can.
