Don't blame people. They're just doing their best. Blame the universe.
Ever incarnation of our civilization will have this, unless we become a collective maybe. But there should still be some stratification in the command structure, with higher ups still issuing orders to grunts on the lower rungs. So if you just happen to be a grunt, damn that sucks. They'll issue you lots of feel good juice, if it's ever a problem.
The way I read your OP is "I want to live in a collective." Can you blame me? History is rich with technological and social and biological change, but competition and stratification remains. Why should I think it will end?
I'm not saying things won't get better. I think they will. It'll just never be a perfect blissful place. I don't think it'll ever be that way unless we hit a limit. If we learn everything and explore everything, we'll finally be able to rest.
JUst follow advice from people. There're many, many wise people who know success and teach it.
