What he's saying isn't drivel. What gives the government the right to arbitrarily punish an individual for earning more than the man next to him?
That is a really tough question because of the complexity of the tax code, but from what I know we started raising tax margins around 1925, plummetted into a depression, increased taxation further and further until about the mid 50's then we started dialing back down once WWII was paid for.
I suppose your point is that we won WWII? Which I'm not sure I fully follow. But again, I revert to my question previously; irregardless of circumstance, what right does the government have to take excessive amounts of income from one individual and starkly less from another?
