Stab in the back comes to the mind of the voters if Trump could make that claim. The media was manipulating polls running up to Iowa because they saw Trump losing ground over Cruz. The pollsters increased their base turnout and afforded it all to Trump to discourage Cruz voters. When most of it was splitting between Rubio and Cruz. They held back on Rubio's poll numbers because they wanted to "create" momentum for the open boarders candidate.
Them taking shots at each other I don't think is going to stop if whether or not the debate happens. Who cares what the media says? It's always going to be the same, everyone knows that, it repeats every election cycle with media reporting.

How many conservatives or republicans are just captivated by MSNBC reporting right now ya think? In that their reporting is going to sway the outcome of the Republican primaries? These candidates should probably worry more about what they themselves say, and how they react under pressure to the incoming stuff said. And not just themselves, but to their aides/staffers too *cough* Rubio *cough* hehe

View it like this: look how they perform in this situation, then apply it to how they are going to act towards Putin and Jinping to name two, when things may be going rough.
