Was that "at"? or 'at' them? or just that guns have a front and back end and always pointing somewhere? Pointing at themselves?
I assume you mean "at" since you said "and threaten to use them if force is used against them" which would imply that they were confronting someone directly, with guns drawn and pointed, and threatening to fire.
