Seasons
Season 1: March 18th 2016 (Friday) - October 18th 2016 (Tuesday)
Season 2: October 21st 2016 (Friday) - April 21st 2017 (Friday)
Specifications:
- 2 box limit
- players start in their home town (by race).
- Player forced to pick team at lvl 5 (or cannot move further)
- 2 teams (no home city, established later when players take one over)
- No kunark/velious, lvl 50 max. Old world only and expand off it.
- able to loot cash, pvp coin/points
- pve/pvp respawn with corpse wearables + items. Corpse will remain for rezzing.
- Only erudin, felwithe, freeport are takeable (maybe allow qeynos later). Cities start neutral (all players can go to the city despite team, once taken they can be controlled).
- Reset Nexus as starting point upon PVP death (PVE death remains in normal world)
* A location is needed of neutral ground where the player cannot be attacked and thus the 'spawn camping' is not possible.
- Nexus becomes neutral world hub again (enable teleport points back to the world).
* No limits on time staying in Nexus, we want players to remain online. Encourage incentives to get them out of neutral ground (Bazaar, Nexus, Shadowhaven are the only neutral zones)
* Available teleports to main continents (south ro, tox, commonlands, gfaydark, butcherblock, north karana)
* Upon drop down from nexus divine aura (still under consideration, but likely).
* Players will also be able to return to bind from nexus (assuming no lockout applies at the time). Plus returning to their home cities/camps.
- Provide soulstone item nexus amulet to player (30sec cast time)
- Bazaar becomes PVP point/traidng hub again
* Return PVP point traders to bazaar. Neutral ground is necessary for turn-in. Some 'bonus' pvp item vendors may not apply depending on devnoob's decisions.
- Replenishing returns objective (done):
* longer presence of players in a zone causes mobs in following respawns to have higher chance of drops/cash/etc.
* higher chance of rarer mobs to spawn.
* slightly increased respawn times.
Custom Zones (done)
- Return bothunder in lavastorm with its custom content.
- Return miragulschamber in everfrost with its custom content.
- Return westwastelands in oasis with its custom content.
- return rujb (Pinnacle Cave) in nexus with its custom content.
Season Details
- 6 month season (open->close)
- Main world is reset as if it was a new world
- Tracking of leadership board over seasons.
- Titles or some other perk for top 3 players of leaderboard each season?
Additional ideas (not yet completed, under consideration):
- optional patcher offered to setup custom server files and revert to defaults
- Introduce other possible bonuses in city types plus those starred above, such as:
* Reduced Re-use cooldowns on teleport hubs?
* Reduced respawn time on guards in cities/camps?
* etc
