Oh yeah, Polar Bear Skins in Halas is a great chunk of xp and nets you some great faction and starter armour. There are a few spell quests in various cities that give you level 1 or 5 spells if you do the turn ins over and over again. Great way to net some exp and get your caster memmed up.
And if you're evil/neutral in Qeynos, you can always grab the tacklebox and turn in the dress twice:

Just don't do the chain too many times or you'll wind up really mucking up your Priests of Life faction. But the quest gives decent exp til level 3. You can actually just keep repeating it til you hit level 3 without swinging a weapon once and get a few bits of... patchwork armour I want to say.
