That won't be good for genuine starting players who are stuck and need help with something.

I wonder if it would be possible for them to program the code so it only restricts it IN EC. Or perhaps a limit per time frame. IE: One ooc/shout/auction per 60 seconds or so. That would at least give folks time to easily toss them on ignore without a giant flood happening.
