I'm just saying, if this was EQLive in 2000 and a Tranquil Staff dropped and he did the same thing, he wouldn't have been banned for it - the community needs to police itself and work things out together. In 2000, he would've been blacklisted and it would've been one of those 'oh well' things - what good is a monk that has a Tranquil staff and a tarnished reputation?
To be honest, I'm quite sad at what EQ has devolved into. You guys are more concerned about yourselves and that's not classic. The raid scene here is not classic. Something needs to be done.

Just because you had a different experience in 2000 doesn't mean it was correct. People on this server have evolved and come to the realization that claiming need on an item for yourself
is selfish. NBG works in close friend / guild type situations. In a random group setting, if people want to be friendly and pass on an item to give to someone else, or win the item and give to that person, that's great, I'm all for it. But, by no means are they entitled to that item. This guy clearly lacks self control, communication skills, and feels self entitled. Could it have been handled differently? Maybe. With his two week suspension he can contemplate his actions and how he handed the situation, and will most likely handle situations like this differently in the future.
