Clerics, rogues and warriors always seem to be the de facto raid alt class. You can really never get enough of them and they stick out like a sore thumb when there isn't enough.
I'd give honorable mentions to monks, wizards and bards too. Monks are the go-to pulling class which is big on this server where FTE is king. Wizards put out some serious dps with bane nukes. Bards are just great utility and hard to find quality level 60 ones.
That being said, every class finds their niche in Velious raids. Play what you enjoy, you'll burn out fast otherwise.
