disability money saved my life.. I ended up getting a job - and don't receive SS anymore - but I can say without it? I probably wouldn't be in front of a computer with a decent job now.
I'd support more MTF transgender folks getting off their ass instead of yelling into their computer saying things are unfair for them. I wouldn't touch welfare/disability as it helps legitimate cases more than it hurts problem cases.
My dad worked 25 years and had a hip injury, now he was terminated and collects unemployment and has the option to apply for disability/welfare. There are plenty of mtf people that are capable of holding a job that are on disability and stay there for god knows what reason. Just look at the twitter SJWs. They're mostly on welfare and complain all day that they are being treated unfairly on social media. Maybe if that energy was channeled into being a productive member of society they might see that the world isn't as bad as they make it.

This is probably exaggerated, though, really how many trans people are there out there like that? 1000, 10,000, 100,000? those numbers are tiny. Yet i'de still like to see numbers.
Blind people can write. My dad can program and write. Yet he refuses to find a way to earn an income and remains on disability. Because it's easy. (well now he's fairly old, diabetic and sick from being like that) but hey...
The best solution would to make rehabilitation a priority and requirement for people on welfare. But trans people shouldn't be selected against on the basis of 'rehabilitation' because their trans anymore then someone should be based on gender, age, sexuality, religion etc.
What difference is it if transphobia causes people to suffer PTSD, anxiety or any other probs related to psychological trauma then, rape, abuse, violence, malnutrition, neglect as children, prolonged isolation, etc...
It wasn't until I started treating my "Gender Identity Disorder" that I was able to start improving my life. And I'm doing it on my dime.
Of course rednecks just think I should pick up a rifle and be a caveman on BLM land with some tobacco chew I stole from 711
