I know a guy who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for conspiracy to get fake papers. He didn't even get anything, he just said he was interested and when offered some he said he would buy them. He never bought them and there was no evidence he was sincerely offered the fake papers. Just some college flunky who was dealing marijuana.
With the punishment for fake papers so severe, that even the "thought" of asking for someone to find you fake papers being illegal, is REAL ID really that big of a deal?
I need to consider this more.
