The diff between history and now is history is history and now we have higher iq, longer life spans, science, human rights, the Internet, and 176 countries where it's worked fine for over 50 years.
Remember Germany wasn't a socialist country before its economy collapsed and they elected a dictator (pretending to be a socialist).
