I quit about a month after kunark got released.... I've come back a couple of times, but the server inflation / magic of original EQ just wasn't quite there....
I've been lurking in the shadows, for *3* years now, casually checking in on project 1999, in the hopes that one day... One incredibly magic day, there would be a revamp / re-release of project 1999. A fresh start.
I'm sick of dota 2, I'm sick of gta 5, I'm sick of CS: GO, project 1999 was the only game that captivated my mind and spirit in over a decade of stale releases.
Rainbow 6 siege came out, seemed intesting, until it was revealed it was a AAA pay to pay game, didn't even bother picking it up... I'm such a hardcore gamer at heart, but games these days... just honestly suck major dickage!!!
Maybe... one day.... after years of waiting.... I can once again log on to p99 as a level 1 ogre warrior vying for decaying skeletons and froglok tadpoles amongst an unending sea of fellow level 1's.
