The entire Strat****/HB**** data breach (no more explicit talky I dunt liek swears) was A-OK with big boss, until one journalist had a sudden "omg lol" realization while combing through the data. Plenty of media was reporting on the breach and several "brave" (see: stupid) journalists were reporting on the actual content found inside the breach, until one of them struck the wrong chord by asking the wrong question in his conclusion paragraph of his final article on the subject.
At your own risk:

The saga did was leave me wondering, in a way, if the true definition of capitalistic success is about creating a knockoff corporation, marketing the fuck out of it and befriending the right lobbyist, and getting awarded X Y Z tax dollars annually in contracts with you and your buddies for providing services of questionable importance and questionable relevance while said corporation vampirizes data for private resale, having access quid pro quo to State Dept, FBI, and arguably NSA data. And then be able to turn around and market/sell this information to Fortune 500 companies. But of course steps and measures are in place to make sure this does not happen.

I'm a fiction writer, everything I wrote above is, of course, for entertainment sake and none of it is based in reality. Any associations made are merely coincidental, and again, purely a work of fiction not intended to be taken seriously or interpreted as anything but fiction.
