The amendment talks about a "WELL-REGULATED MILITIA". We have one of those even without you having access to high-capacity assault clips for a mass shooting.

Most agree, including the supreme court, that the interpretation of militia in the context it was written is explicitly meant to mean not of the Fed.
Implement armed organized militias in the context as was intended in the full size and scope, and I'll gladly surrender a majority of my firearms and continue to enjoy the fruits of our Constitution without another word.
