A monument in game wouldn't be for him at the end of the day it would be for the people he was friends with. He wouldn't care one way or another he has passed away. It would help the people who were close to him in game feel like he made an impact and left a mark.
Now the Gofundme idea is great if someone knows how to get it to go to the right place. I see a lot of death and families afterwards and there is nothing worse than not only having to pick up the pieces and move on without a loved one but also dealing with the financial hardship that can come with it.
If he meant that much to you then think about what he meant to his family and what an act of kindness like that would do to help them emotionally. Seeing that he impacted others lives like that.
