Not to nitpick too much, but the shooter of the Planned Parenthood facility was, according to the Washington Post, registered to vote as "unaffiliated" and as a woman. Furthermore, he was unknown to the people who routinely hold a mass in front of the facility and the shooter doesn't seem to be affiliated with any of the "crazy fundamentalist" (as you call them) Christians in the area, or elsewhere (
see here).
The chances seem pretty good that the murdering POS was as bonkers as hell and picked his target due to the attention being given to it over the Planned Parenthood reporting which was in full swing around that time.
But, I think you're right. Fundamentalist Christians in America aren't rampaging lunatics blowing people up, or gunning them down in the streets. They are the least of our worries at this time.
