Nazi Germany was a fascist government, not a socialist government. But hey, they called it socialism so it must be socialism right! Fascism is the merging of political power with economics. Fritz Thyssen was the steel monopolist who financed Hitler's rise to power in germany. Fascism is the most anti-labor form of government. It sublimates the interests of labor to the interests of capital. In Nazi Germany this was taken to the extreme of sending jews and other targeted populations to concentration camps. What were these camps? They were certainly death camps for those who had outlived their usefulness, but those who could work were used as slave labor in mines for the benefit of Germany's economic elite. IBM provided Germany with punch card technology so they could keep track of the former occupations of the slaves to make the work camps more efficient:
