At Fordham University, a top Jesuit university, we all sought the "goody girl" as we termed it for these reasons. My friends and I were very like-minded in that we didn't want a girl who had been around the block for so many reasons. STDs were on that list.
That should make more sense to you. So yeah, there is "something" to be said there.
