High already due to pre-existing condition, it gets lower post transition, but still is a big problem.

Sometimes a person cant fix everything by transitioning. That happens. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Imagine especially if they live in a hostile and abusive environment. Or they were abused previously.

Sometimes totally fine and happy people transition and never look back, and are happy. There are a few of those and you get to know the multitude of circumstances by learning an interacting with such people.

I don't want to give the impression that transitioning is something only insane people do. There are lots of fine and stealth transsexuals who just never had dysphoria, but had the means and accomplished their dream.

For those of us that are dysphoric, it can be life ending regardless of whether we transition, or just try to live with it through other means.
