And as mentioned, Dial-A-Port is just a collection of whoever wants a tag for /who all dial to sell ports. I don't think anything more needs to be said about that.

If this were true, why are the members so defensive about people cutting in on their monopoly?

I've posted it before, but this is the kind of virginrage I get for offering an alternative to the trust (/who all "tell a port"), which requires a cut of porters' profits for membership.
