The merit of protesters is gauged by what they are protesting. In the 60s, liberals were demanding an end to segregation and the war in Vietnam. In the 2010s, liberals are demanding that the president of Missouri 'acknowledge his white male privilege' and the modification of the First Amendment to no longer cover anything that offends them. I have considerably more sympathy for the former.
