Your analogies confuse preferences and opinions and overemphasize the role of subjectivity. For example, if you think women in red are sexy, your opinion is "women In red are sexy." You are correct that since sexiness is subjective it is difficult to determine the validity of your opinion. However, if there is at least on person who does not find women in red sexy, then your opinion is wrong. They may be sexy to you, but not necessarily to everyone. Now if your opinion is "women in red are sexy to me" and that accurately represents your views then your opinion is correct ^^
I agree that the red forums can be less than splendid though!
