First thing you do is stop putting dip shit republicans in power. Thats the only way to stop out of control government spending.
Bernie sanders is against all of this: https://www.nationalpriorities.org/cost-of/
Ridiculous spending is NOT spending the money we collect on taxes on the people and instead spending it on wars we dont need & corporate bailouts.
The governments role is to provide human services for its citizens... we dont live here under a government because of its mercy, its job is to make our time living here better. But right now we collect taxes and allow small parties to use it to get richer, we spend it on wars we dont need (that Bernie has voted and fought against unlike all the other candidates).
Roads, police, healthcare, infrastructure, laws to protect the tax payers, education, regulations on food so you arnt eating food made from human shit.. that stuff isnt out of control spending. Thats the whole point in the first place. Thats what Bernie wants to change our taxation spending on.
Believe me, if a corporation was allowed to make food out of shit, and call it healthy, it would.
You want to stop out of control government spending? Dont attack the person who is fighting to do exactly that while hoisting up more people that are the cause of it in the first place.

As outrageous as the post may be, putting the brakes on corporate controlled government is both a left and right interest. Sadly capitalism does indeed lead to shit being sold in a pill bottle, substandard toxic food made with mass-production industrial grade pesticide, among other serious humanitarian concerns. Any candidate that campaigns on at least pushing back on special interests, even if futile, should get the vote. The Monsanto Act is a form of pseudo treason almost, since we the people didn't believe it made any sense at all. Nor did any politician that wasn't in the pocket.
The problem is if you rock the boat too much, you get a bullet through your head closed casket, in broad daylight hence why we haven't see a true progressive candidate since 1960. The special interest racket might just be too deeply entrenched in our system to do anything about and maybe its not realistic to vote for a Bernie Sanders, but someone who can just do the job and at least maintain the status quo. Realistically speaking I think its a done deal at this point I do believe we lost a part of democracy when the murder of the highest elected office in the nation went unsolved via lack of investigation.
Its nice to pretend otherwise though.
